Outreach Efforts
Food Drives & Spirit Days
Our Food Drives & Spirit Days are a wonderful way to engage with our community and support rescue pets. We proudly partner with local restaurants such as Chicken N Pickle, Raising Cane’s, and Starbucks, as well as schools, to host food and toy drives. These events not only provide much-needed supplies for the pets in our program but also extend support to the broader community.
In addition, we collaborate with local businesses across Texas and the Pacific Northwest to organize adoption events and fundraisers. These partnerships help us raise crucial funds and awareness, enabling us to continue our lifesaving work and connect more animals with loving families.
Through these fun and impactful events, we strengthen community bonds and make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners. Join us in supporting our mission and making every event a success!
Outreach Events: Supporting Pets & Their Families
Our outreach events are designed to help pet owners who may not be able to afford regular veterinary care and to assist in controlling disease among vulnerable pet populations. Sometimes we work independently, but we often partner with local animal controls and other animal welfare organizations to host these vital programs.
At these events, we provide essentials like flea medications to pets in need and distribute collars, leashes, and ID tags—many of the animals we encounter arrive with nothing but makeshift restraints like electrical cords. These small steps help ensure pets stay safe and can be reunited with their families if lost.
We also offer low-cost and, in some cases, free spay and neuter services to reduce overpopulation and promote healthier lives for the animals. By focusing on prevention and education, we’re working to create healthier communities and provide much-needed support to pet owners and their beloved companions.
Partnerships & Programs
At Three Little Pitties Rescue, collaboration is key to amplifying our impact. By partnering with local businesses, schools, and community organizations, including Petco Love, we extend our reach and enhance our initiatives with valuable resources. These partnerships enable us to offer crucial services and support, transforming lives and ensuring more animals find their forever homes and receive the care they need.
Our outreach includes presentations and workshops on responsible pet ownership, animal care, and the importance of spaying and neutering. These educational programs empower our community to make informed decisions and promote the well-being of their pets.
Together, we build a stronger community and create lasting change for animals in need.
Learn more about our initiatives
New Caney Outreach
We provide vital support for dogs and their houseless owners, offering food, flea medications (excluding Bravecto), and vaccines through a grant from Banfield and veterinary donations.
Your generous donations enable us to deliver flea prevention for homeless dogs in New Caney. Volunteers have provided dog houses and meals.
Our efforts have made a real impact in reducing overpopulation at the New Caney camp through spaying and neutering owned dogs, allowing us to rescue and rehabilitate those in dire conditions.
Partnering for Change: Supporting Community Initiatives
We are proud to volunteer at and with various organizations and community groups, such as Houston PetSet, The Empty Shelter Project, and others, to make a difference in animal welfare. We also engage with local groups like the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, National Charity League, and Honor Society members who are committed to giving back to their communities. Together, we are building a network of support, empowering both animals and people, and creating lasting change.
Vaccine Clinics
Our community outreach team hosts multiple vaccine clinics each year in Friendswood, TX, and surrounding areas to provide essential care for dogs and cats in need. These clinics ensure pets receive vital vaccinations, promoting their health and preventing disease spread. By collaborating with local veterinarians and volunteers, we make these services accessible to all pet owners, particularly in underserved communities. Through our outreach efforts, we aim to improve the lives of animals and foster a healthier community for pets and their families.
Educational Impact
Our educational programs have made a significant impact on hundreds of community members, including those who are unhoused or from lower-income backgrounds. By focusing on crucial topics such as spaying, neutering, and responsible pet ownership, we’ve been able to raise awareness and promote better practices for animal care. The positive feedback we’ve received from the community highlights the value and effectiveness of these outreach efforts. We’re proud to see how our programs are not only educating but also empowering individuals to make informed decisions that benefit both their pets and the broader community.
Street Feeding
Street feeding the dogs and cats of Texas is a labor of love, made possible by amazing individuals who are the heart and soul of this mission. Despite these efforts, there are still an estimated 1 million strays on Houston's streets due to lack of spaying and neutering, with more being illegally dumped or abandoned each day. Together with these partners, we're making a difference, one meal at a time.
Classroom Education & Food Drives
Our team is committed to inspiring students about rescue, fostering, and volunteering, demonstrating that it’s never too early to nurture future advocates for animal welfare. Many schools have organized food and toy drives, significantly benefiting our boarding and foster animals. We have reached hundreds of students and teachers through presentations that emphasize the importance of spay/neuter, vaccinations, and microchipping. Your involvement shows that everyone can play a role in making a difference in animal rescue!

Success Stories
Noel- A Christmas Miracle
Noel was discovered on Christmas Eve in a gas station parking lot, just four miles from her registered home. Despite being adopted from a shelter two years ago and microchipped, all attempts to reach her previous owner were unsuccessful. She was never spayed and had been let down by people multiple times.
Our Director of Volunteers, Jodi, took Noel in and began a refeeding plan with high-protein, small meals to help her regain strength. With Jodi's care and dedication, Noel's sweet nature started to shine through, and she made a remarkable recovery.
We're thrilled to share that Noel has since been adopted into a loving home where she'll never be let down again. Thank you to everyone who supported her journey—you've helped give Noel the happy ending she deserves.
Rescue Recap: Lana, Luna, and Their 15 Pups
We are thrilled to share the successful rescue of Lana, Luna, and their 15 puppies, made possible by the dedicated efforts of rescuers Bianca Boyle and Jenny Rodriguez. Thanks to our incredible team and the strong community that supports us, these two mama dogs and their litters are now safe and sound.
Housed in brand-new barns generously donated by Tito’s Vodka, these families are finally in a stable environment. Despite their friendly and caring nature, both mama dogs arrived severely underweight and dehydrated, struggling to nurse their puppies properly. Thankfully, neither tested positive for heartworms, but they still urgently need better care and nutrition to recover fully.
One litter is 3-4 weeks old, and the other is a little over a month. With your continued support, we can provide these pups and their moms with the nurturing environment they deserve. Though their rescue journey was challenging, it's far from over. Together, we can ensure they thrive and find loving homes.
Community Outreach Success Story: Rosharon Cat Rescue
In 2023, the Three Little Pitties Rescue community outreach team tackled a severe cat overpopulation crisis in Rosharon, where many cats were reproducing rapidly and facing harsh conditions. We rescued 14 cats, including a vulnerable two-week-old kitten in need of bottle feeding.
Each cat was carefully evaluated to decide if they could be adopted or if they needed to be fixed and returned to their original location. Thanks to generous donors and dedicated fosters, we were able to cover the substantial costs of their vetting and care.
This successful rescue highlights the incredible impact of community support and the difference we can make together in the lives of animals in need.
Thank You
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our incredible supporters. Your contributions enable us to make a lasting impact in our community and improve the lives of countless animals. Together, we can create a brighter future for pets in need.
