A Gift Given in Honor of Michelle "Shelly" McKee
A generous donation was recently made to our General Funds campaign in memory of Michelle (Shelly) McKee, a beloved foster who passed away on September 19th. Shelly served as a foster for One Chance — one of our rescued fur babies who, thanks in large part to her care and love, was given exactly that: one chance at a better life.
"This is in honor of Michelle (Shelly) McKee who was our foster for One Chance. She passed away on Sept. 19. We are grateful for the care she showed for our fur baby."
These words, left by the donor, remind us why we do what we do. Fosters like Shelly are the unsung heroes of animal rescue — opening their homes, their hearts, and their lives to animals who need a safe place to heal and grow before finding their forever families.
