Loading day
Every other Thursday, cats and dogs load at the Friendswood Church lot after required veterinary checks. Cats arrive earlier and load last so every traveler can be settled safely for the journey.

Only quarantined animals travel on the rescue’s private service. Experienced team members remain with them for the full route so they are never left alone.
Local adoptions remain important, but relocation creates additional opportunity for pets who would otherwise wait in a region facing a severe overpopulation crisis.

The two-to-three-day route has two alternating drivers and trained team members. Dogs receive scheduled breaks; puppies and cats remain safely crated. Stops are limited to fuel and human breaks.
At pre-arranged community pickup locations, adopters and fosters meet the bus for the joyful final handoff. Some stops use Petco partner locations, while others use different approved meeting points.
From loading day to home
Volunteers, drivers, fosters, and adopters carry the journey from the Friendswood loading lot to the final welcome.

Thank you, fosters
Fosters pour time, care, training, and emotion into every traveler. Updates from adopters keep that connection alive long after the transport doors close.
