A puppy’s behavior develops within the adoptive family’s environment, training, and circumstances. Because the rescue cannot assess what happens after adoption, later behavior concerns are the owner’s responsibility and are evaluated as non-behavior-related return requests.

The rescue offers guidance, an adopter Facebook group, and recommends working with a certified behaviorist when needed.

Fees are donations toward a much larger investment. Typical hard costs are $412–$859 for a healthy dog and $1,120 or more for a heartworm-positive dog. Extended boarding, training, dental, vision, and orthopedic care can raise costs into the thousands; $200 of the fee supports transport to the PNW or East Coast.

Dogs may receive board-and-train support, leash work, individualized training, playgroups, a lifetime-registered microchip, martingale collar, and one year of heartworm prevention for adults six months and older. The rescue is not government-funded and relies on private gifts and grants.

Fostering gives a homeless animal a temporary, safe place in your home. Most placements last four to six weeks, though some may need longer, especially when surgery, heartworm treatment, or other extensive medical care is required.

Three Little Pitties Rescue covers approved medical expenses for foster animals through rescue veterinary partners or the Friendswood clinic. Essential supplies such as kennels, food, and collars are provided for Texas foster pets.

Approved medical care is also covered for Pacific Northwest fosters. PNW foster families should plan to provide routine supplies and coordinate approved care with their local foster team.

Yes. Houston-area cat and kitten fosters are especially needed, alongside dog fosters in Texas, the Pacific Northwest, and Northeast transport regions.

Texas fosters should live within roughly one hour of the Friendswood facility so appointments, assessments, playgroups, and transport preparation can be coordinated safely.

A fun, meaningful celebration for birthday parties or corporate events where guests learn how rescue works, complete an activity that helps animals, and spend supervised time cuddling puppies. The event also raises funds for lifesaving work.

Children’s parties are designed for guests age four and older. Age information helps the team choose appropriate education and activities. Corporate and office events are planned for the participating group.

Weekdays and weekends may be available at local venues, depending on the event calendar and volunteer capacity. No other dogs or cats may be present. Puppy activities must move indoors when temperatures are above 85°F or below 55°F.

A rescue volunteer, age-appropriate education, an animal-helping activity, a puppy pen, puppy supplies, and several puppies. Most parties are scheduled for about 90 minutes.

Yes. Guests can make a gift through one of the rescue’s donation campaigns, and many hosts invite guests or coworkers to bring needed supplies or gifts for homeless pets.
