Texas roots. Nationwide love.
Adopt a rescue dog or cat in Washington.
Washington is one of Three Little Pitties Rescue’s published transport pickup states. Washington adopters can connect with dogs and cats rescued in Texas through thoughtful matching and coordinated travel.
A Texas rescue pet, a Washington home
Browse current pet profiles and discuss your household, other pets, and daily routine with an Adoption Coordinator. A pet listed in Friendswood or elsewhere in Texas is not necessarily already in Washington. Ask which animals and pickup options fit your situation.
Planning a Washington pickup
The adoption page identifies Washington as a pickup state and Bellingham as a US pickup option for Canadian adopters. It does not promise a stop in every Washington city. Your coordinator confirms the location and schedule before you arrange travel.
Support before and after arrival
Adoption preparation includes medical care and travel planning. Virtual introductions help you learn about a pet before the journey. Prepare a quiet arrival space and follow the rescue’s decompression and behavior guidance. Families able to offer temporary care can also explore our Pacific Northwest foster program.
